ABOUT

Darin is a Wyoming native who attended college at the University of Wyoming, graduating with honors. He received his law degree from the University of Washington, graduating with honors and being named to the Order of the Barristers. After clerking for the Washington Supreme Court, he spent nearly 15 years with a Denver-based natural resources firm, followed by 9 years as Senior Counsel with Crowley Fleck, PLLP. He founded Darin B. Scheer, P.C. in 2025.
As a litigator for more than 20 years in state and federal courts, Darin handled multi-million-dollar cases at the trial level and on appeal, including securing a complete defense jury verdict against a $92 million claim at trial, which he successfully defended on appeal before the Wyoming Supreme Court.
He has also represented clients in commercial transactions involving billions of dollars. His current practice focuses primarily on providing strategic advice and assisting key clients with large natural resource development projects, including oil and gas, wind, solar, hydrogen, power plants, and hyperscale data centers, in addition to other large-scale commercial transactions. Darin's clients have included small and midsize business owners, independent and global energy companies, and multiple owners of major professional sports franchises.

Darin is deeply committed to volunteer service. He was the Wyoming State Bar Delegate to the ABA House of Delegates for 9 years, he has served on the Wyoming Board of Law Examiners for more than 10 years, he is the two-term Chair of the Board of Trustees for the National Conference of Bar Examiners, and he serves on the Board of Directors for Heroes and Horses, a life-changing non-profit organization for combat veterans.

​Darin is a proud father of two kids, a private pilot who loves to explore backcountry airstrips, a volunteer firefighter for more than 15 years, and a raft guide who has rowed more than 10,000 miles on rivers across the West.
